 As Christmas is a time for families and cheer.

But I know some homes do not even have this and I believe we all can help and donate to Women's shelters.  Some of the women have children and have to leave with just the clothes on their back and being scared wondering what's going to happen next.

And with little ones its frightening .

Women are the souls of life, as we are strong and proud, loving, and yet sometimes  we are weak.

But when someone takes advantage of this they try to take are souls. And when they do  we get lost . While we are being turned around with this person telling us we are nothing.  We forget to see that we are strong.

But the  moment we see  that we have lost  ourselves  we open our eyes and see that this is not me ,what has happened how did I get here . When I know  no one has the right to do this I am women  with a soul and no one has the right to take that away from me  or my children.

So  our strength to see that we and our children do not need to be in a home where someone thinks they have the right to hurt us belittle us abuse us.

Then we hear that voice to say get out !  there is a better life for you and for your kids

So we leave with not much  or sometimes nothing at all , but we have the start of  our freedom.

Some may not be so lucky

but the ones who have will  always have that fear, but their free they made a start for no more abuse.

So help if you can little things mean a lot when you have to start over again .

More needs to be done in helping women and children .

But look it's not our fault we did nothing wrong we just lost our soul but we can get it back we really can.

 I was verbally and physically abused  by  now my ex husband for years

My memories are painful but I am free and my child is safe

I did  my freedom alone  as I was  American Women living in England. English  laws are not the same as  in the USA.  I believe Abuse in any part of the World should be treated as crime.

Not a slap on the wrist to the abuser  so they are allowed to just continue abusing.

I feel more should be offered to abused victims . And to let them know where they find  a safe place stay and what help is  out there for them.

So Please Help  it will really mean a lot .

This is what I say to myself  every time I remember the abuse

" I am free so is my soul ".
